Author Leslie Means grew up on a farm near
Blue Hill, Nebraska. She now resides in Kearney, Nebraska with her
husband Kyle, and their daughters Ella and Grace. After spending
nearly 7 years as a television personality, Leslie “retired” from
the business in 2010 to spend more time with her girls and more time
writing. She now works part-time as the Program Director for the
Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce, writes a weekly column for the
Kearney Hub and continues to feed her passion as a writer. This is
Leslie’s second Ella B. Bella adventure. Her first children’s book,
Ella B Bella and the Magic Pink Shoes, was published in the spring
of 2010.

ELLA B. BELLA
Ella B. Bella has spent the entire summer perfecting her Grandma’s
secret chocolate chip cookie recipe! She is determined to win the
grand prize ribbon at this year’s county fair, but to get there
she’ll have to get past Cinnamon Coffey, the competition’s most
privileged and rudest contestant. $12.00
“Delightful illustrations and a story as delicious as its subject
matter makes Leslie Means’ newest book a tasty treat for families!
The heartwarming tale not only teaches young children about teamwork
and kindness but also reminds even older readers that winning isn’t
everything. It is friendship, as we are shown, that truly defines
our lives.”

B. BELLA
Ella B. Bella knows that her pretty pink shoes are magic. Whenever she wears them, something that’s lost becomes magically found! Ella is so proud of her shoes that she plans to show them off to her classmates at show-and-tell. But just days before her big reveal, the shoes go missing! Will she find them in time for their big debut? And will she ever get them back? $12.00
"As you read the story you will be pulling
for the little girl to find her lost shoes that will return
good fortune to the owner." Ella B. Bella and the Magic Pink Shoes is Leslie's first children's book. Though this is a fictional story, the inspiration for it came from her daughter's journey to find her missing pink shoes. Leslie is thrilled to fulfill a lifelong dream and plans to continue writing more Ella B. Bella books in the future. |
